2014 Season has ended

I can’t believe that it is this time of year already. Seems like the boat went just a few short months ago. This year was the best spring /early summer fishing i can ever remember. The salmon bite was fantastic. The biggest boated was a 29lber just a week ago in front of the genesee river. There were bigger ones caught in the rochester area. This exceptionally cold winter and cooler summer has the salmon trickling in for their spawning run. They did not mature at the same time as usual because of the cooler water. The salmon run will be going on for a while. I have now taken the boat out of the water for the year. I am still amazed at the amount of calls i get asking to go salmon fishing now that it is here. I tell them that they have been out in the lake chewing bait for the first 3 plus years of their life and now they are not feeding, just striking out of aggression, very frustrating. Anyways come catch them earlier in the year.. I want to sincerely thank all my fishing friends, old and new, for joining HOOKEDUP  on a  fishing adventure. I hope your experience was all good, mine was. I look forward to seeing everybody in the 2015 season. Till then have a great winter, and think spring. Book early for your trip so you can get the day you want.
