Late April early May bite

Hard to believe that april is over with no real warm up. May is starting to feel like spring. The brown trout bite is still active in the shallow waters as well as coho salmon , lake trout. The king salmon are in the shallow water as long as it is stained and not many boats go over them to spook them. There has been a good king salmon bite in the river water where ever the wind happens to push it. If you spend time there you should get some good fish. The water is warming quick with all of the sunshine and calm waters, which in turn could make for some early steelhead fishing. Time and mother nature will tell.
